MULTIPRON is a comprehensive test tool with E1, Gigabit Ethernet, RS232/485 link maintenance and failure diagnose. MULTIPRON is equipeed with two Ethernet interfaces, Ethernet traffic generator, four E1 interfaces and RS232/485 serial interface.

Device is equipped with two Ethernet interfaces, each one realized by one electrical 10/100/1000 Mbit/s RJ45 port and one 100/1000Mbit/s SFP module. Ethernet data streams can be configured with frame sizes (up to 10240Bytes), burst sizes, interframe gap, MAC/IP addresses, VLAN (802.1q, QinQ), QoS options, UDP/TCP ports and others.

MULTIPRON also performs E1 data monitoring and analysis. Usig MULTIPRON it is possible to test four E1 channles at the same time ( each channel via independent RJ45 port ). Extended version of MULTIPRON tester additionally allows user to perform data monitoring and testing of E1 channels timeslots (according to the ITUT G.704 Recommendation).

Additional serial interfaces allow user to conduct RS232 or RS485 transmission tests. Basic version of tester is equipped with single simplified RS232 port. MULTIPRON_advanced is additionally equipped with full RS232 port and RS485 interface. Testers can generate RS transmission with maximum throughput of 2Mbit/s (RS485) and 230,4kbit/s (RS232).

Color, high resolution touch-screen provides convenient test parameters settings and results displaying. Testers can be powered from 230V AC power supply or from battery with capacity of 18000 m

Ethernet

Combo Gigabit Ethernet interfaces (2x RJ45 plus 2x SFP) allow user to test both wired and optical transmission paths.

Tester supports few kind of tests on Ethernet interfaces: RFC2544, Network Monitor Test (shows Ethernet utilization) , Network Sniffer, custom interface to interface test and simple cable tester.

Network Sniffer test makes a copy of transmitted data without interrupting it. To sniff passing data user can connect PC with software sniffer (Wireshark etc.) to tester or used simplified built-in sniffer monitor.

 

E1 G.703/G.704

While using BitStream testers it is possible to test four E1 channels at the same time (each channel via independent RJ45 port). User is allowed to perform data monitoring and testing of E1 channels timeslots (according to the ITUT G.704). E1 test functionality includes the ability to send/receive standard PRBS test patterns, inject/monitor alarms (LOS, LOF, AIS, RDI, CRC4) or errors (bit, code, CRC4), monitor signal frequency and perform G.826 analysis. Tester is able to generate clock deviation in the range of +/- 30ppm.

 

„Out of service" tests (such as loopback and end-to-end tests) allow user to verify the quality of the E1 transmission path before comissioning E1 services.

 

 

„In service" monitoring of E1 alarms and errors allow user to troubleshoot lines or equipment problems in live traffic. Errors can also be intentionally injected to examine system’s response.

 

RS232/422/485

Testers can be equipped with full RS232 interface, simplified RS232 interface and RS485 interface.

Devices are able to generate serial transmission with up to 230,4kbit/s (RS232) and 2Mbit/s (RS485) data rates.
